What the dial is showing
Sixty stable beads divide the whole interval into equal parts while one marker follows actual elapsed time. You can set up to 365 days, reveal milliseconds, change playback speed for a clearly labeled simulation, or turn on the optional alarm sound, which stays off by default.
Repeat runs the same target again as soon as it finishes, and the round number is shown beside the phase so you always know which repetition is running. Saved timers keep a name, a duration, a direction, and a repeat setting in this browser on this device.
Common questions
Will the alarm still fire if I switch tabs?
Alarm sound is off by default. Turn it on before the timer finishes when you want the triple beep. The timer stores the exact end time rather than counting interval ticks, so the display catches up after normal background throttling. Browsers can suspend inactive tabs and cannot run an alarm after a tab is closed, so keep this tab open when the alarm matters.
What does Count up do?
Count up starts at zero and stops automatically at the days, hours, minutes, and seconds you set. Use the stopwatch when you want open-ended timing instead of a fixed target.
What does playback speed change?
At 1×, timer time and real time match. Other speeds deliberately simulate time faster or slower. For example, a 10 minute timer at 10× reaches its alarm in one real minute. The current speed and estimated real duration stay visible above the dial.
Can a timer repeat, and can I save it with a name?
Yes. Repeat runs the same target 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 times, or until you stop it, and the round counter above the dial says which repetition is running. When a round would last under two seconds of real time, which a very short target or a fast playback speed can do, the rounds change quietly: the beep and the spoken update would be cut off before either could be heard, so the round number carries it instead. Saved timers are never uploaded, up to eight are kept, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Why did I not hear the beep?
Sound starts off to avoid surprising you. Turn on Alarm sound above the dial before the timer finishes. If your device is muted or the tab's sound is blocked, the visual "Time's up!" still appears. When sound is on, "Beep again" can replay the alarm.
