NZST to HST: convert New Zealand Time to Hawaii Standard Time

In January, HST is 23 hours behind NZST. In July it is 22 hours behind. The gap moves because the two regions handle daylight saving differently.

Both lanes show the same instant. Local dates, daylight, and offsets come from each IANA zone on the selected date, so daylight saving changes are included.

Two columns because the gap changes with daylight saving: use the January column roughly November to mid-March, the July column mid-March to October. Exact switch dates vary by year.

Scheduling a call between NZST and HST

Standard business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) do not overlap in January: daytime in New Zealand Time falls outside the working day in Hawaii Standard Time, so one side needs an early morning or late evening.

In July standard business hours do not overlap at all.

World Time Lab shows live day and night across the planet. Sun positions are computed with standard NOAA solar equations, and local times come from your browser's own IANA time zone database, so every calculation on this site runs on your device. This build loads no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party scripts at all, and asks for no account. It never asks where you are unless you press "Use my location" on an eclipse page, and that reading stays in your browser. The privacy page explains what that does and does not cover.
